Employment Based Immigrant Visas

I am a professional holding an advanced degree (beyond a baccalaureate degree), or a baccalaureate degree and at least five years experience in my profession

Professionals holding an advanced degree (beyond a baccalaureate degree), or a baccalaureate degree and at least five years progressive experience in their profession may apply for exemption from the requirement of a job offer if the exemption would be in the national interest, in which case the alien may file the petition along with evidence of the national interest. If this type of visa petition is granted, the petitioner will be given an immigrant visa (“green card”).

Independent applicants in this category must have extensive documentation demonstrating that they have the required education and progressive experience in their field, and that their admission to the United States would be in the national interest of the country.
